7/1/08 -  Bshift crew responded to the Creation Museaum for a camel attack! Thats right your eyes are not decieving you! Although this is a very unusual type of call for service for our region of the globe the call went over with out a hitch and the patient as well as the camel are both doing fine.

June wrapup

June seemed to be a busy month for day to day operations, however our call volume seems to be down after talking to the crews with EMS calls for service continuing to increrase. I will post hard numbers as soon as they become available to me. All in all a great month to be working in the Hebron Fire District

6/3/08 - A shift crews responded to Sanctuary PLace Apartments for a structure fire. Upon arrival crews found a kitchen fire with a moderate amount of smoke showing after openeing the front door. The fire was mostly contained by the in home sprinkler system. Noone was injured during this incident and crews wrapped it up quickly with minimal loss.

6/08 - B shift assisted water dept with main break. Crews were up to 0230 hrs. assisting the water dept with a main break. It was approximated that around 1 million gallons of water was in a very large road side ditch. The crew pumped out the water and recieved some rare rural water supply training as well.

6/08 - Wow it's been kind of slow, crews responded to many arson fires involving dumpsters and ordinary combustibles. A shift responded to Stone Oven Pizzaria for a structure fire. Upon arrival crews found a pile of cardboard boxes involved in fire. The boxes were quickly extinguished, however did result in some damage to the siding of the structure.

6/16/08 -  Crews responded to Johnathan drive for a drowning. Prior to their arrival the engine was cancelled due to the rapid transport of the 2 year old patient.

6/12/08 -  E 352 responded to the Deer Creek subdivision for an object that fell through the roof. Upon arrival the crew found a very hot metal object that had flew through the roof and landed on the floor. Although the home was occupied noone was injured. The airport was notified. It has yet to be confirmed on what the object was.

4/29/08 B shift responded to Conrad Park for a person stuck in the mud. Upon arrival crews found a female who was over an embankment into a creek stuck in about 3 feet of mud and water up to her waist. The complaintant placed herself in this situation attempting to retrieve her dog who also was stuck. Crews utilized a rope and allowed the complaintant to pull herself free. The female walked away without her shoes and a minor hit to her pride however was grateful for the quick response of the crews and her health. Yes the dog was also brought home safe.

4/27/08 C shift responds to North Bend for an auto accident car vs. fire hydrant. Upon arrival crews were met by a bystander advising an unconscious patient. The patient was rapidly taken out of the vehicle and assessed. It was found that the patient was in fact unconscious. The patients problem was rapidly corrected and refused treatment.

4/24/08 Members of C shift respond to the interstate for an auto accident with entrapment. Upon arrival crews found a victim pinned in the vehicle. Crews managed to extricate and air evac the pt. to UC without incident.

4/22/08 Members of A shift responded to the 3000 block of Petersburg Rd. for an ATV accident. Upon arrival E 352 found a patient that was unresponsive from rolling his ATV onto himself at a high rate of speed. The patient was flown via UC Aircare and his condition is unknown at this time.

4/17/08 Members of B shift responded to a report of an unauthorized open burn. Upon arrival units found an old dilapidated out building that had burnt to the ground. Units extinguished the fire and returned to quarters.

 4/12/08 Members of C shift respond to a residence for a fall. Upon arrival crew found a female unresponsive. Crew made a quick decision to utilize University Aircare. To our current knowledge the patient is doing well. Great job C shift!

 4/08/08 A mixed crew at shift change of B and C shifts on E352 were dispatched to the 4mm EB 275 for a semi fire. Upon arrival crews found a semi with all of it's tires well involved in fire. The driver who was unharmed was successful in detaching the tractor from the trailer only leaving scorching of the trailer. E352 and E351 crews quickly extinguished the fire with out further incident.
