6/28/08 - St baldricks event is a much larger success than anticipated! Although the entire dept. goal was 2000 dollars crews raised over $5000 for the event. The Chief was not suppose to participate but how could he resist after a 15 min. splurge to raise $750. Needless to say he is the proud owner of a newly bald head. 6/19/08 - The month of June also focused a lot around firefighter survival with training. Many days have been spent at the training facility using bail out techniques, PPE training with the removal of airpacks in a hazzardous environment, and disentanglement. Everyone completed the assigned tasks well and have worked hard. 6/19/08 - The Hebron members picnic is scheduled for June 28th at Conrad Park. 6/19/08 - June 28th is going to be a busy day also with the St. Baldricks charity event and the charity event for fallen Colerain Firefighters.
5/5/08 - The first week of May is spent on training by all three shifts. The training this week consists of RIT and focuses specifically on recovery of a downed firefighter from a simulated fall through the floor. The new training center was the utilized for these events. 4/21/08 - Lt. Puglisi adds a new member to his family with the birth of a bouncing baby girl.
4/08/08 - Station 2 crews attend funeral for 2 fallen Colerain firefighters (Cpt. Robin Broxterman and FF Brian Schira).
4/06/08 - Station 2's own Mike fronimos to be named Deputy PIO for fallen comrades funeral.
